Sustainability at Bernardus Golf
Bernardus’ vision is to lead the way in sustainability, setting the standard for golf courses globally.
Believing golf is a celebration of nature is the reason behind the course design, inspired by and in harmony with nature. This is one reason you will find many heather plants at Bernardus, a species native to this part of the Netherlands.
Golf courses can serve as carbon sinks and beacons of biodiversity. The course, situated on former agricultural land within a Natura 2000 site, has been transformed into a haven for wildlife, with 50% of the 80-hectare estate dedicated to pure nature. Read more
